A method for manufacturing a vehicle identification number plate is provided to easily mark a vehicle identification number onto the plate even when the marking press depth is 0.3 mm or more. A method for manufacturing a vehicle identification number plate includes a step(S11) of carrying out a low temperature spray coating process onto a metal panel; a step(S13) of marking pressing a vehicle identification number onto the metal panel; and a step(S15) of removing burr from the metal panel. The metal panel is marked with the vehicle identification number into the depth of 0.3mm or more.
