A friction reducing tool for drilling applications having a plurality of rollers for about the periphery of the tool. The rollers have extensions which locate within cavities to prevent the rollers from passing from cavity to the exterior of the tool. The tool is formed in multiple parts having interengaging tongues which are joined together by passing a rod through bore. A groove is provided in outer component to enable rod to be inserted in bore.
