PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology related to a fastening device for fastening timber and a truss member by which the timber can be joined firmly. SOLUTION: A metal joint 3 includes a joint nail 20, a joint ring 30 and a joint plate 10. The joint ring 30 is arranged in a joint hole 15 of the joint plate 10, and the joint nail 20 is driven. Then the joint ring 30 is deformed and brought into tight contact with both the joint plate 10 and the joint nail 20, whereby a joint force is increased. When the joint plate 10 is displaced by the application of a force, in particular, a resisting force at an initial stage of the replacement is large. Therefore, the joint plate 10 is not moved unless a force larger than a force in a conventional case is applied, and the joint is not loosened. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
