MEDIUM COMPOSITION CONTAINING SELENIUM SOURCE FOR CULTIVATING MUSHROOM, METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME, AND SELENIUM-CONTAINING MUSHROOM PRODUCED USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided are a medium composition containing selenium source for cultivating mushroom, its preparing method, and selenium-containing mushroom produced by using the same. Therefore, the selenium-containing mushroom has no toxicity and abundant organic selenium which has antioxidation, improves heart and lung functions and immunity, decomposes waste materials, prevents liver cirrhosis and cancer, etc. CONSTITUTION: The medium composition of cultivating mushroom characteristically contains 1x10¬-5 to 1x10¬-3 part by weight of selenium source selected from the group consisting of inorganic selenium such as selenite, a selenium-yeast complex and selenium-containing dried egg. Wherein, the yeast includes Saccharomyces cerevisiae or Saccharomyces carlsbergensis. Its manufacturing method comprises the steps of: adding selenium source to a medium for cultivating mushroom; adding water thereto to adjust moisture content to 60-70%; and sterilizing it in a container at 70-120 deg.C for 1-10 hours then cooling it to 25 deg.C.
