摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elongate surgical instrument equipped with a joint motion lock assembly which carries out joint motion. <P>SOLUTION: The surgical instrument has a handle assembly; an elongate main body part which is elongated in a distal direction from the handle assembly and specifies the first longitudinal direction stem; a tool assembly which is revolvably supported around a rotation stem substantially perpendicular to the first elongate longitudinal stem on the distal of the elongate main body part; a joint motion mechanism which brings about the transfer of the tool assembly; at least one joint motion driving member having at least one holding face which is operated by the joint motion mechanism; a rod which is arranged with adjoining at least one joint motion driving member having an actuation face arranged on the rod; and a joint motion lock assembly which selectively engages and disengages from the actuation face, and selectively engages and disengages from at least the one retaining face of at least the one joint motion driving member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
