PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optically compensated sheet, which can effectively optically compensate a liquid crystal cell and can decrease frame-like failures or bright spot failures, and to provide a liquid crystal display device having excellent display qualities, such as the viewing angle and less failures in the frame or bright spots by using the optically compensated sheet. SOLUTION: The optically compensated sheet, used for optical compensation for a liquid crystal cell, consists of an optically uniaxial or optically biaxial transparent film subjected to stretching treatment and exhibits 10 to 30% fracture elongation in the stretching direction of the transparent film. |
