摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning optical device that can be downsized.SOLUTION: A scanning optical device 1A comprises: a first light source 2a that emits light forming an image including a dragonfly image; a second light source 2b that emits light creating a synchronous signal; a rotary polygon mirror 3 that deflects light L1 emitted from the first light source 2a and light L2 emitted from the second light source 2b in a main scanning direction; and an image formation optical system 6 that causes the light L1 emitted from the first light source 2a and deflected by the rotary polygon mirror 3 to be formed on an image plane 4, and causes the light emitted from the second light source 2b and deflected by the rotary polygon mirror 3 to be formed on a synchronous sensor 5. In the light L1 emitted from the first light source 2a and the light L2 emitted from the second light source 2b, an angle of incidence in the sub-scanning direction to the rotary polygon mirror 3 is caused to be different to separate an optical path in the sub-scanning direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
