This development support system automatically associates an issue, a branch, a commit and the like while suppressing an increase in the number of branches generated corresponding to the issue in a social coding system. The development support system includes: a repository management system that keeps a developed product and a modification history thereof in a repository; and a social coding system that manages the developed product and the issue in association with each other. The social coding system includes an issue management unit that manages information of the issue, and a branch processing unit that generates a branch in the repository. The branch processing unit identifies a first branch as a branch source on the basis of the information of the issue that has been designated, and generates a second branch branched from the first branch and corresponding to the issue. |
