PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the securing of a high data transfer rate compatible with the reducing of the size and weight of an optical disk recording/reproducing device, and also to make a steady recording/reproducing operation possible. SOLUTION: On one optical bench 11, there are mounted a plurality of objective lenses 31a, 31b, actuators 40a, 40b, and optical system units 20a, 20b. For one side of a disk 50 for which DVD-RAM of a zone CLV system is employed, the objective lenses 31a, 31b on the optical bench 11 are arranged with roughly half a distance apart of the width in the zone radial direction so that no heat of laser spots is transferred to each other; using the laser beam condensed by these objective lenses 31a, 31b, recording and reproduction are carried out simultaneously, thereby making the securing of a high data transfer rate and the reducing of the size and weight compatible in an optical disk recording/ reproducing device. |
