PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide continuous annealing equipment which is capable preventing cooling buckle of a steel strip occurring in the thermal crown of hearth rolls, decreasing the supply rate of in-furnace atmosphere gas and averting the danger of explosion even when the concentration of the gaseous hydrogen in the in-furnace atmosphere gas is increased. SOLUTION: This continuous annealing equipment has suction means for sucking the gas in a duct, a circulating flow passage for communicating the discharge side of the suction means and returning at least part of the gas sucked from the inside of the duct to cooling gas jet means, a discharge flow passage for communicating the discharge side of the suction means and discharging at least part of the gas sucked from the inside of the duct to the outside of the duct and air quantity regulating means for regulating the internal pressure of the duct so as to make the same lower than the pressure in a furnace casing around the duct. |
