<p>A test instrument may be connected to an ignition lead by means of a device interposed between the ignition coil and ignition lead plug and comprising a metal sleeve 4 having at one end a contact 7 like that of the ignition lead plug 3 and having at the other end an aperture like that provided in the coil to receive the ignition lead plug. The sleeve 4 also has a connecting component which is accessible from the outside for connection of a test instrument and which may take the form of a non- protruding plug-in contact component 14, a protruding tongue, or a protruding insulated conductor. The device permits connection of a test instrument without disturbing the screening arrangements. <IMAGE></p> |
