A vacuum drum filter, for use in dewatering solid-liquid mixtures, specially pulps, is equipped with a blow-off device inside the drum which feeds a flushing medium to the filter cloth for removal of the filter cake and its remnants. This device includes at least one blow-off shoe across the length of the drum which has a longitudinal slot to direct the flushing medium against the filter cloth.
