PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image receiving sheet which is almost free from a curling phenomenon and forms a colorproof and superfine mask image or the like as an image receiving sheet having an image receiving layer for thermally transferring an image formed on the imaging layer of a thermal transfer sheet, through steps with high stability as well as method for forming a multi-colored image by which the colorproof and superfine mask image or the like can be formed through the steps with high stability using the image receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording which is almost free from a curling phenomenon. SOLUTION: The image receiving layer for thermally transferring the image formed on the imaging layer of the thermal transfer sheet is provided on a support. After the image receiving layer is applied on the support, the sheet is wound around a core with an outside diameter of 5 in or more. Further, the image receiving layer is thermally treated at 30 to 50 deg.C for one or more days, then the sheet is wound around a core with a smaller outside diameter. Thus the image receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording with improved anti-curling properties is obtained. Also the method for forming the multi-colored image using the image receiving sheet is provided. |
