USE:A synthetic intermediate for terpene compound such as vitamin A used as pharmaceuticals and feed additives. It can be produced easily from an easily and economically available raw material in high yield. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting an allyl alcohol of formula II with a thiol of formula RSH in the presence of an acid (e.g. acetic acid, sulfuric acid, etc.) in an inert gas atmosphere (e.g. N2, He, Ar, etc.) at -50-+150 deg.C. The reaction may be carried out in an organic solvent such as hexane, methanol, etc. |
