PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording liquid which has a high image density, gives an image free from blur or penetration on recording paper and excellent in water resistance, and is excellent in delivery stability; and an image recording method using the same. SOLUTION: This recording liquid contains a colorant, water, and fine self- crosslinking resin particles. The resin particles are prepared as an aqueous resin composition by polymerizing 0.5-15 wt.% polymerizable unsaturated monomer having an alkoxysilyl group and another polymerizable unsaturated monomer in solution, adding water to the resultant resin solution to emulsify it, and removing the polymerization solvent. The image recording method uses the recording liquid. |
