PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halogen-free olefinic resin composition capable of satisfying required characteristics as a coating material for automotive electrical wire, such as wear resistance, flame retardance, tensile characteristics, and flexibility, in a well-balanced manner. SOLUTION: This resin composition contains (a) 30-80 pts.wt. of a polyolefin thermoplastic elastomer having a melting point of >=130 deg.C and a Shore A hardness of <=90, (b) 1-20 pts.wt. of a polypropylene which is modified with an acid anhydride in an amount of 0.1-10 wt%, (c) 5-50 pts.wt. of a styrene-based elastomer, (d) 10-30 pts.wt. of a propylene polymer which is selected from a propylene homopolymer and a propylene-ethylene copolymer and has a melt flow rate of 0.1-5 g/10 min [provided that the total amounts of the components (a), (b), (c), and (d) is 100 pts.wt. and the composition does not contain any resin component other than the above components (a) to (d)], and (e) 30-200 pts.wt. of a metal hydroxide. |
