PURPOSE:To stop a rewinding process before completing rewinding in the case of starting rewinding by providing a means for controlling a motor driving means in order to switch the start and stop of rewinding based on data from a rewinding input means. CONSTITUTION:A winder control unit (WCU) 300 for controlling all the things related to film traveling controls the motor driving circuit 500 which drives a film traveling motor 400 by executing a stored program. Namely, it stops rewinding if a rewinding signal is inputted in the midst of rewinding and also it starts rewinding if the rewinding signal is inputted while rewinding is not executed, based on the data inputted from a rewinding switch 603. Even in case of starting rewinding, rewinding can be interrupted by operating the rewinding switch 603, so that annoyance caused by the noise of rewinding is not given to those around a user.
