PURPOSE:To reduce the waiting time required when a set temperature is changed by rotating a rotary body by receiving a change signal from a 1st set temperature to a 2nd set temperature. CONSTITUTION:When, for example, a development device containing black magnetic toner is set, the black toner is detected and a control unit 11 sets the set temperature of a fixing roller 7 by receiving the detect signal of the toner. When the development counter is replaces with a monochrome development device containing nonmagnetic color toner in such state, the color toner is detected and by receiving the detect signal of the color toner, the control unit 11 changes the set temperature of the roller 9 lower than the that for black toner and turns off the heater 9. At the same time, the unit 11 drives a driving motor 12 which drives the fixing roller 7. Then a pressing roller 8 is rotated following the rotation of the roller 7 and the fixing roller is forcedly cooled. Thus the set temperature of the fixing roller can be changed quickly and the waiting time can be shortened. |
