A solar cell fabricated on an insulative substrate, which comprises a first electrode formed on said insulative substrate, a photovoltaic conversion layer formed on said first electrode, an insulative layer formed on said photovoltaic conversion layer, and a second electrode formed on said insulative layer, wherein said insulative layer comprises a plurality of openings in which said second electrode is electrically connected with the photovoltaic conversion layer.
