Before gases are released into the atmosphere organic ingredients must be removed by adsorption, followed by later regeneration, drying and cooling of the adsorption bed. The gases are cleaned by an assembly comprising an absorber with regenerative absorption bed, a cooler, a separator, a blower and a heater. The absorption material is active carbon in a bed having a steam feed pipe for regeneration. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process takes place within a closed circuit with no escape of organic materials to the atmos. The drying effect is much improved on previous equipment (claimed). It is further claimed that the full absorption capacity is employed to deal with organic materials and is not exhausted by the presence of water.
