PRODUCTION OF FIBER COMPOSITE SHEET

PURPOSE:To make the thickness distribution and fiber distribution of a fiber composite sheet uniform even in the case where the sheet is thin. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing fiber bundle composed of many continuous monofilaments is passed through a fluidized bed of a powdery theremoplastic resin and struck by a bar 4 during the passage through the fluidized bed to be opened in a monofilament like state under vibration and the powdery thermoplastic resin is bonded to the respective monofilaments. The thermoplastic resin of the opened resin bonded fiber F2 is melted under heating to be formed into a sheet.
