PURPOSE:To obtain a chemical for grouting soil which is excellent in homogel strength, particularly in the initial strength, though its gel time is long, and hence suitable for consolidating and reinforcing coarse soil. CONSTITUTION:The title chemical comprises one or more silica compounds including water glass, slag and silica fume, an alkali metal aluminate solution, and a polyvalent metal compound. Where water glass alone is used as the silica compound, however, alkaline earth metal carbonates are excluded from the polyvalent metal compounds. The three-component system is adjusted to simultaneously satisfy the conditions of [SiO2/Me2O]<2.5 and [SiO2/Al2O3]>5. |
