PURPOSE:To obtain an appropriate recording density regardless of the carrying control of recording paper set by controlling the conduction start timing of a heater with timings corresponding to a plurality of carrying controls. CONSTITUTION:In case of manual feed, conduction is carried out with conventional timing (Conduction of a heater 21d is started upon start of reverse rotation of a paper feed motor) according to a conduction time indicated on a table. Ambient temperature is the detected, pulse conduction time is determined, and pulse conduction start is set at the start of reverse rotation of motor. In case of automatic paper feed, conduction start must be delayed as compared with manual paper feed on condition that the timing at the start of reverse rotation of paper feed motor is employed and thereby conduction start is delayed behind the start of reverse rotation of paper feed motor thus setting the heater to a recording position at the starting time of conduction with same timing as manual paper feed even in case of automatic paper feed. |
