PURPOSE:To facilitate OCR definition object generating operation by reducing data input operation when there are many read items and many successive identical formats. CONSTITUTION:The OCR definition object generating device 1 is equipped with an input data input part 6 which inputs definition information on a character item read position, definition information on an image read position, and definition information on the identical formats, a definition object data generation part 7 which generates an OCR definition object on the basis of the respective pieces of definition information inputted by the input data input part, an identical format calculation part 8 which calculates definition information on successive identical format positions at a calculation request from the definition object data generation part 7 by using the definition information on the identical formats when there are plural identical formats, and an OCR definition object file which stores the generated OCR definition object. |
