<p>This facility comprises an airtight processing vessel (1) with an inlet formed by a lock (2) with an airtight chamber-lock (3) placed between two openable gates (4, 5) and over which is mounted a hopper for loading electric cable sections (7), a pressurized inert gas source (8) connected by two ducts (9, 10) to the processing vessel and to the chamber lock in order to maintain them in an inert gaz atmosphere, a heating unit (11, 12, 13, 14) for the vessel in which the waste (15) is combustion-processed, a discharge duct (16) for the fumes produced by the pyrolytic calcination of organic products from the sheathing of the electrical cable sections, including a draught ventilator (17) and connected to the furnace of the heating unit to effect the complete combustion of these fumes, and a cleaning unit (18) for the flue gases from the heating unit. The copper obtained from the electrical cable sections is recovered in a non-oxidized melted form at the outlet (19) of the processing vessel.</p> |
