PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily access to an internet from a home network by transferring the packet data to one of plural ports based on the destination information included in the extracted packet data and connecting one or more of ports to an external network. SOLUTION: Plural ports transmit and receive the frequency signals via a transmission medium which performs transmission with multiplexing of frequency. The extraction means 203, 206, 208 and 210 extract the packet data from the prescribed frequency bands of frequency signals which are received via plural ports. Then a transfer means 205 transfers the packet data to one of ports based on the destination information included in the packet data which are extracted by the means 203, 206, 208 and 210. In such cases, at least, one of ports is connected to an external network. A coaxial cable prepared for distribution of video signals to a subscriber's home from a CATV station (external network) is utilized. |
