<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a cylindrical shell from deformation and a content from leakage by specifying the wall thickness of the heater of a self-heating type container consisting of two materials making contact with each other to generate exothermic reaction. CONSTITUTION:A lidded tapered cylindrical heater 20 converging upward has a reduced diameter portion ranging from the lower end of the peripheral wall to a predetermined height. Also the heater 20 is provided on the lower end of the peripheral wall integrally with an outward projecting flange 20a the peripheral edge of which is secured fixedly to a cylindrical shell 1 on the lower end thereof and the peripheral edge of a bottom lid 3 by curling work. This heater 20 has as a whole 0.03-0.5mm of wall thickness. In a self-heating type container provided with this heater 20, enclosed liquid L to be heated is heated. A bag 6 enclosing water is broken through and then the container is not again turned up side down. When air existing in a space above the liquid L is heated and expanded to increase pressure, the heater 20 is deformed to be contracted.</p> |
