FIELD: devices for burning fuel in Stirling engines; generation of electrical or mechanical power, especially when surface combustion is required; transport facilities; power plants working in isolated rooms, underground working, submarines; engine may be also used in mobile refrigerating plants. SUBSTANCE: engine includes combustion chamber with inlet hole fore feeding the air-and-fuel mixture and outlet hole for escape of gaseous combustion products inside which cylinder with expanding gas and piston are located; piston is connected with axle carrying the magnet located inside winding. Cylinder with piston is so located in combustion chamber that lateral surface forms inner heat-exchange wall of combustion chamber. Combustion chamber is filled with three-dimensional catalytic structure which may be formed by foam-like cellular carrier with open cells or other carrier of similar properties. Many particles of catalyst are connected with three-dimensional carrier through layer of secondary carrier with high specific surface. Engine may be additionally provided with second piston located in the same cylinder for opposite motion of pistons. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to catalytic oxidation of fuel. 7 cl, 2 dwg |
