PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic answering telephone set with which a caller leaving a message can manage its message succeedingly. SOLUTION: The proposed telephone set includes a message storage unit 111, an evaluation unit 115, and a message management unit 117. The evaluation unit 115 evaluates incoming call related information. The message management unit 117 permits a caller of an incoming call to manage the stored message based on the evaluation.
