The tubular roller body has an outer cylinder tube (2) and an inner tube (3). The cylinder tube (2) is of a light metal, with one or more projections (4) at its inner mantle surface as an inner profiling. The inner tube is made of a reinforced plastics material, at least partially in direct contact with the profiles of the outer tube. The connecting grip between the inner and outer tubes is through a press bond, where the outer tube (2) is shrunk on to the inner tube (2). The inner projections (4) at the cylinder tube are formed by a number of equidistant ring webs (8), with a constant cross section contour round their periphery. The cross section of the ring webs (8) is triangular, polygonal or a circular arc. The ring webs (8) can run in a spiral. The plastics material of the inner tube (3) is reinforced with fibers of glass, carbon, and the like.
