<p>The system consists of a compensator flap (5) pivoted to the trailing edge of the control surface about an axis (9) lying parallel to the control surface's axis, and elastic couplings (6) between them. It has a control mechanism linked to the elastic couplings which can cause the compensator flap to turn in one direction and the control surface in the other, and an actuator (8) which keeps the assembly in the required position. The system incorporates an intermediate mechanical member (10) which is operated by the control mechanism (7) and actuating a first arm (15) connected to the elastic couplings, a second arm (14) connected to the compensator flap, and an arm (18) linked to the control surface. The elastic couplings can be made from spring strips connected to the actuator and the first lever, with the couplings and actuator situated parallel to the control surface's axis (4).</p> |
