PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To machine base material under the most suitable conditions corresponding to a work target on each occasion, in spite of using a single hand-held drill device, and to resolve a work delay required for procurement of a drill device having different specification. SOLUTION: This hand-held drill device 1 is equipped, in a housing 2, with a first hammering mechanism 16 for generating a hammering force in the axis direction. The hammering force in the axis direction can be transmitted to a drill or a chisel tool 7 held by a tool holder 6 of the holding-type device 1. A second hammering mechanism 20 for generating a hammering force in the axis direction at least partially different in a hammering energy and/or a hammering frequency from the hammering force by the first hammering mechanism 16 is arranged in the housing 2. The hammering force in the axis direction by at least either of the first hammering mechanism 16 and the second hammering mechanism 20 can be selectively mounted on the drill or the chisel tool 7 held by the tool holder 6. Besides, in case of drill working of wood or a metal, the drill or the chisel tool 7 can be driven rotatively even in the state where the hammering force in the axis direction is not loaded thereon.
