<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver by which a probability of disabled reception control on the basis of preset contents by mis-discrimination of a receptible television broadcast form can be reduced. SOLUTION: In the case that a tuner 10 can receive a signal of a television broadcast form of a television radio wave broadcast or a CATV broadcast, a microcomputer 50 uses the tuner 10 to tune sequentially each channel frequency assigned to both the television broadcasts so as to discriminate presence of a station. When the microcomputer 50 discriminates the presence of a station, the microcomputer 50 presets a television broadcast discriminated to be receptible only when a station is available in both the television broadcast forms with a same channel number in the case of presetting a channel number and a television broadcast program in cross reference with each other when the presence of station is discriminated.</p> |
