PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing the silver halide photographic sensitive material superior in vacuum close contact performance and improved in occurrence of mat pin holes and uneven coating, good in coating performance and stable in manufacture. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material is obtained by forming a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer on a photographic support and an insensitive outermost layer containing a matting agent on the outermost layer on the side of the emulsion layer and an insensitive interlayer between the emulsion layer and the outermost layer containing the matting agent, and the viscosity of a coating material for the interlayer is made higher than those of the emulsion layer and the outermost layer to make a simultaneous lamination coating possible.
