PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating agent for injecting magnesium into iron containing a mixture of high melting point particles and magnesium particles. SOLUTION: The quantity of the high melting point particles in the mixture of the high melting point particles and the magnesium particles is made to be effective enough to perfectly prevent the magnesium particles from changing into high melting point magnesium before injecting the magnesium particles into the iron. Thus, the magnesium can be alloyed with the molten iron by mixing an alloy mixture or an alloyed mixture with the high melting point iron.
