PURPOSE: A rubbing device for an LCD and a method for rubbing an orientation film are provided to reduce the disclination and the light leakage caused by the bad rubbing by rubbing the entire surface of an orientation film with two rubbing rollers which rotate oppositely. CONSTITUTION: A rubbing device for an LCD includes a moving table(10) to secure a substrate(20), and first and second rubbing rollers(31,32) rotating oppositely and rubbing the substrate in contact with the surface of the substrate, wherein the first and second rubbing rollers are positioned in parallel with a predetermined distance and wound with rubbing sheet(33,34) for contacting an orientation film for forming pretilt angle on the surface of the orientation film. |
