PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic rotary compressor with reduced working cost by shortening drilling time without deburring work, and substantially enhanced reliability to leakage from a welded part, in comparison with the case of rivet-welding by providing a through-hole in the rivet-welded location of the hermetic cylindrical part of a vessel. SOLUTION: This hermetic rotary compressor is structured to prevent deformation of a compression mechanism part by excessive welding heat generated when the through-hole is not provided, by providing a bottom part having a recessed part in the rivet-welded point of the cylindrical part of the vessel, and also to prevent a gap between a welding material and the cylindrical part of the vessel which is possibly produced when the through-hole is provided.
