PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injector wherein strength required for a nozzle body 4 can be held while fastening the nozzle body 4 to a housing 8 of an injection valve body by strong fastening force, and the opening peripheral fringe part 42a of a nozzle sliding hole 42 is not deformed by the fastening force. SOLUTION: The nozzle body 4 is fastened to the housing 8 of the injection valve body by screwing a female screw part 12a with a male screw part 8a with the inner collar part 12b of a retaining nut 12 made to abut on its large diameter flange part 48, and the large diameter flange part 48 of the nozzle body 4 is positioned on the side closer to the housing than to an oil reservoir 45. Therefore, when fastening the retaining nut 12, fastening force is not transmitted to the inner wall part 45a of the oil reservoir 45, and the peripheral fringe part 42 of the opening of the nozzle sliding hole 42 is not deformed. As a result, an amount of leakage of high pressure fuel flowing out to a low pressure fuel passage 7 does not increase, and smooth sliding displacement of a nozzle needle 41 with respect to the nozzle sliding hole 42 can be maintained.
