A light emitting device and a fabrication method thereof are provided to improve the light emitting efficiency and the reliability of the device by having a second electrode made of silver or an alloy of silver with low specific resistance and high physical properties. A light emitting device includes a substrate(100), a first electrode(110), a light emitting layer(140), an electron injection layer(160), and a second electrode(170). The first electrode is located on the substrate. The light emitting layer is located on the first electrode. The electron injection layer is located on the light emitting layer. The second electrode is located on the electron injection layer. The electron injection layer is composed of a first layer made of a halogen metal compound and a second layer made of metal. |
