PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable proper recording and/or reproduction of an information signal even when light is irradiated from a protection film to cope with higher recording density. SOLUTION: In this optical recording medium 1 which is constituted by at least successively laminating a reflection film 3 and the protection film 4 on a substrate 2 and by which the information signal is reproduced by irradiation of the light from the protection film 4, a groove 5 and an emboss pit 6 according to the information signal are formed along a track on the reflection film 3.
