PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slicer with a check which has simple constitution and a simple method of use, which allows so light and quiet slicing work as to be proper as a home cooking appliance, which allows sliced material to be sliced to the end without regard to the condition thereof, and which is good to put away. SOLUTION: In the slicer with the check, the check 20 has engaging arms 23 parallel to respective guide edges 12 positioned on both of the ends of a slicer body 10. Stoppers 30 are vertically movably assembled to the outside of the engaging arms 23. The engaging protrusions 32 of the respective stoppers 30 are made to project toward stopper grooves formed at the respective guide edges 12 of the slicer body 10 through engaging protrusion holes 25 formed at the respective engaging arms 23.
