The present invention relates to a method for producing a polyalkylenecarbonate resin. More specifically, provided is a method for producing a polyalkylenecarbonate resin in which, following the polymerization of polyalkylenecarbonate, a solution containing a solvent with melted polyalkylenecarbonate therein is mixed with water or an acid solution and by-products are removed by means of an extraction method, thus increasing the effectiveness of by-products removal over the existing effectiveness thereof and reducing the residual catalyst content, and thereby allowing the properties of the final product to be improved.
