PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the unevenness of image density from occurring after recovery from a toner end state. SOLUTION: The supply amount of toner 10 from the toner end state is obtained by using a sensor, and the toner 10 is supplied while making developer circulate for a specified time. When a toner cartridge is exchanged because of toner end, the toner 10 is supplied to a developing container so as to perform toner end recovery operation. A true final output value is obtained from the transition of a detection value to the end in order to exclude the noise fluctuation of an output value or a detection value finally detected out of the values obtained until toner end stop in a light reflection sensor 8 or a toner density sensor, and a toner supply clutch or a toner supply motor is driven so that the amount of the toner decided based on the obtained output value may be supplied for the circulating time peculiar to the device. |
