PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress transportation failure in a recording device transporting a medium by using a roller.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a transportation section 9 having a roller 5 being capable of transporting a medium P and having a rotation axis of an intersection direction B intersecting a transportation direction A of the medium P, a roller support section 10 supporting the roller 5 at a non-both-ends portion in the intersection direction B and a roller support section movement section 21 capable of changing a support position of the roller 5 by the roller support section 10; a recording section 12 capable of performing recording onto the medium P transported by the transportation section 9; and a detection section 8 capable of detecting the support position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
