PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-road installation type traffic sign monitoring system that senses both information which is needed to sustain an installed state with a simple configuration irrespective of the length of a passage regulation area, and information based on which rush of a traveling vehicle is alarmed, and that does not perform unnecessary notification.SOLUTION: Passage regulation areas 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, etc. are sorted into plural areas juxtaposed along a traveling direction, and one repeater 30 is installed in each of the areas. One of the repeaters is regarded as a comprehensive repeater 31 that collects pieces of information from the other repeaters. A change in the state of an on-road installation type traffic sign 10 or 50 derived from a rushing vehicle is sensed area by area, and an alarm against the rushing vehicle is also given area by area. Changes in the installed states of the plural on-road installation type traffic signs are collected by the comprehensive repeater, and information concerning all the areas is stored in all the repeaters. Based on an information provision signal f5 sent from a repeater, monitoring means 40 reports the changes in the installed states of the plural on-road installation type traffic signs and the areas while moving through traffic regulation areas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
