PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a plate member to be connected to a base member at a high strength by using a protrusion part through molding the base member having an inclination surface inclined in respect to a drawing direction of a molding die and a protrusion part protruded from the inclination surface while restricting occurrence of the sink.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a process of manufacturing a vehicular component comprising a base member 13 provided with a protrusion at its surface and a plate member 14 having a smaller thickness size as compared with a protrusion height of the protrusion and formed with an insertion hole for inserting the protrusion. The process comprises the steps of overlapping the plate member on the base member in its thickness direction and inserting the protrusion into the insertion hole of the plate member; and deforming an exposed part of the protrusion so as to form an overlapped part where a peripheral edge of the insertion hole of the plate member and the exposed part of the protrusion are overlapped. The base member used at the insertion step is processed by a molding die that can be moved in its drawing direction, it has an inclination surface in respect to the drawing direction and the protrusion is protruded in a normal line direction of the inclination surface and formed into an elongated fine shape in which a longitudinal direction is set along an inclining direction of the inclination surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
