Provided are a sealing material sheet for a solar battery module which, despite being a sealing material sheet for a solar battery module having sufficient heat resistance, is capable of suppressing the development of cracks in a solar battery element due to a bus bar, and a solar battery module. A sealing material sheet in which, in a TMA curve obtained in a thermal machine analysis (TMA) test and indicating the relationship between a predetermined temperature range (°C) and a needle pushing depth (μm) into the sealing material sheet, a gradient P (pushing depth (μm)/temperature (°C)) of the TMA curve in the predetermined temperature range (°C) is determined, and the value of P1 (P1 = 100 × (P80/PMAX)), which is the ratio of P80 indicating the gradient at 80% of the film thickness of the sealing material sheet, to PMAX, which is the maximum value of the absolute value of the gradient P, is not greater than 30%. |
