The present invention provides a nonaqueous-electrolyte secondary cell in which the amount of gas emitted during cycle testing is dramatically low and cycle stability is excellent, even when a titanium compound is used in the negative electrode. The present invention has a sealed body in which are sealed a positive electrode, a nonaqueous electrolyte, and a negative electrode facing the positive electrode across a separator. The present invention is configured such that the negative electrode contains a titanium compound as a negative-electrode active material, the separator has electrical insulation properties, the positive electrode includes spinel-type lithium manganate and a laminar rock-salt compound as positive-electrode active materials, the spinel-type lithium manganate has a number-average particle diameter of 10-20 μm and a specific surface area of 0.05 m2/g to 0.4 m2/g, the layered rock-salt compound content is 2-5 weight parts to 100 weight parts of the spinel-type lithium manganate, and the laminar rock-salt compound has a number-average particle diameter of 3-9 μm and a specific surface area of 0.3 m2/g to 0.6 m2/g. |
