PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of cracks or changes in a hue in a color layer and to achieve excellent lightness and a contrast ratio even when a positive resist etching system using a colored composition comprising an acrylic resin is employed.SOLUTION: A production method of a filter segment for a color filter is provided, which includes steps of: forming a coating film by using a colored composition comprising a colorant [A], an acrylic resin [B], and an organic solvent on a substrate (step (i)); applying a positive resist [C] on the coating film, exposing and patterning the resist by etching (step (ii)); and stripping the positive resist [C] remaining after the (step (ii)) by using a stripping solvent [D] (step (iii)). A difference in the solubility parameter (SP value) between the acrylic resin [B] and the stripping solvent [D] is 0.3 to 3.0 (cal/cm)).SELECTED DRAWING: None
