摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam reforming catalyst for hydrocarbon compounds having a high sulfur resistance.SOLUTION: The steam reforming catalyst is produced by carrying 0.5 mass% ≥ and ≤2 mass% of each of platinum and iridium on an inorganic oxide carrier of α-alumina, zirconia and titania and the like. Additionally, a component of lanthanoid metal oxide is contained in the inorganic oxide carrier. Further, after a platinum salt and an iridium salt are impregnated into the inorganic oxide carrier, the resulting material is reduced with hydrazine in a liquid phase.
